Yes. I know it is rather difficult and inconclusive in comparing two games which are of different genres. This comparison has been already done by many other youtubers, tik tokers, bloggers.. so here is my take or my personal opinion on this topic. I regard this not as a comparison of which is better but rather what one game has to learn from others. Currently, HSR is attracting more players due to its player friendly, easy and rewarding gameplay. I recently covered a article of the recent drama in genshin community in which I also covered how HSR is more rewarding than GI.

The rewards aside HSR has improved/added a lot of things that make the game feel less dreadful. So basically this article will be talking about those while comparing the games.

Pros of Genshin Impact

1. Engaging Gameplay.

Unlike HSR Genshin is a open world rpg having engaging Gameplay mechanics, Team building, Dodging, Attacking, Jumping..etc. Which HSR being a turn based game cannot offer. It also has the whole elements and elemental reactions thing going on for it where HSR doesn’t have anything of that sort. I mean yeah HSR was not meant to be a game like Genshin anyways.

2. Open world experience.

Although HSR includes some exploration features they are not in the league of level of exploration experience genshin offers. Chest collection, statues of seven, offering sites like Sacred Sakura, Tree of Dreams..etc,

As much as I like genshin that’s all it got going for it But when it comes to genshin there’s a lot to talk.

Pros of Honkai: star rail.

1.Reserved Trailblaze power.

First thing the Trailblaze power which is equivalent to resin of genshin can be stored in higher capacities when compared to genshin. The resin is a thing that the players have been complaining about a lot in genshin from the start. Now Honkai comes and fixes the problem in no time.

2. More end game content.

Genshin players have long been complaining of lacking end game content. A lot of players have reached AR 60 after the release of sumeru and fontaine and now have nothing left to do expecting waiting for the new update. The spiral abyss feels repeated and after time gets boring. In Honkai we have forgotten hall which is getting updated frequently. And simulated universe heck they are even adding different modes to it, like swarm disasters and Gold and Gears.

3. Events.

Another thing that HSR added is accessibility to events that have already ended. In HSR you can complete events which have already ended. Which is very good and you don’t have to lose out on primos because you were unable to login to the game during the event.

4. Relic Crafting.

In HSR you can you self modelling resin to modify the main stat of the artifacts you want. This feature would be a life saver and highly appreciable in genshin.

5.Herta store.

In herta’s store in simulated universe you can purchase five star weapons and superimposer for these weapons. these weapons are not half bad heck for some characters they work exceptionally well and best in slot for them. Genshin is currently lacking this feature as well.

6.Additional rewards in standard banner.

In HSR you can claim a free character after warping for 300 times on standard banner

We continue talking there are a lot of things like this in HSR which are time saving. Now, last thing, since these games are both made by same developer, mihoyo we can compare the story of these two games.

Story.

The story of genshin started rather boring and in ways childish. Whereas Honkai started in a very interesting way and still is continuing like that. But, for genshin the story of sumeru occured as a comeback and the story of fontaine stole a lot of people’s hearts. But from the start genshin was highly successful in maintaining the suspense. The lore is quite good and the mysteries and twists never stop coming. For me I personally prefer genshin’s story. But this is not a matter of debate but personal preference. Hence, I leave this article open ended..
