Currently, a huge commotion is going on in the genshin community regarding the rewards in the upcoming version 4.4, which is set to release on 31st of January. This version of Genshin is also going to host the rewarding and important festival of Genshin.l, “The Lantern Rite”. Usually mihoyo is very generous during lantern rite that is when compared to other versions of the game. But, This time around they decided to be more generous and reward the players with extra intertwined fates and the no. of fates being 3. Free fates is always good news but here in lies a problem, these fates are being given out to the players for their support over the course of three years, “THREE YEARS”. The Chinese community is quite angry due to this. Now, this issue has got out and spread on global level. There is a huge decline in genshin community worldwide. This kind of drama is common in genshin community once in a while. But this time the players quite disappointed, showing there disapproval by quitting genshin, heck, even other brands that are in collaboration with genshin, like, Pizza Hut which is a bit ridiculous. The main reason for players to get this angry this time around is Honkai: star rail another game produced by mihoyo.

This game has recently won the award of being “The Best Mobile Game of 2023”. On that occasion the game developers i.e., Mihoyo has given out a free five star Dr.Ratio and this character is meta unlike the Aloy we got in genshin. Not only this but during the livestream of version 2.0 of Honkai: Star rail the game announced free rewards and login events which give out a total of 20 free pulls

In addition to this the game also announced a event similar to free liyue 4 star selector in genshin.

So yeah basically this game has all that genshin has and more in the rewards criteria as well. This set the genshin community in turmoil. The currently the only rewards that mihoyo is offering is 10 intertwined fates plus, mora and exp books during the login event and three extra fates from mail that caused this whole drama. But, thankfully mihoyo has responded to the drama by taking it to twitter and apologizing the players as well as announcing that they are going to give out new rewards instead of the three fates. Currently we are unsure of what the rewards are going to be but, the damage had already been done. On the other hand the remaining players are getting their hopes high and started speculating about the new rewards. Players are expecting a free five star or a skin.

That being said even if mihoyo decides to give a free five star it might be a standard banner character, which are not the best. But when it comes Honkai: star rail the standard characters are quite good especially characters like Bronya, Gepard, Bailu, Yanqing. The pros of HSR don’t stop there but, let’s put that aside for now as we are not here to praise HSR. Hope that the new rewards will be worthwhile. Even if not a free five star more amount of free pulls would also be interesting.
